Work Matters provides individual Vocational Rehabilitation Services to both youth and adults with disabilities in East Tennessee as mandated by the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA).

These services are broken into two main areas:

  • Adults (18+)
    • Job Readiness Training
    • Job Coaching
    • Job Placement
    • Job Retention Services
  • Students ages 14-22
    • Pre-Employment Transition Services

Pre-Employment Transition Services are provided as a result of the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act, and are available to all students ages 14-22 with a disability. These services include:

  • Job Exploration & Counseling
  • Job Shadowing
  • Work-Based Learning
  • Self-Advocacy Training
  • Workplace Readiness Training
  • Post-Secondary Training.
