Carolyn Corley, Project Manager

Carolyn Corley is a multi-talented, certified project manager professional (PMP) who channels her skills into myriad outlets.

Carolyn earned a degree in Technical Communications from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, then acquired her PMP certification working as a project controls analyst at Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s High Flux Isotope Reactor. There she developed a new long-term planning tool integrated with an action tracking database, in addition to developing and tracking project schedules for facility maintenance and upgrade work.

As a freelancer, Carolyn provides operational support to several area non-profits, including Circle Modern Dance, Tennessee State Company, and the Oak Ridge Chapter of the U.S. Women in Nuclear.

She is also an actor, director and stage combat choreographer. She has performed in stage, TV, and film productions with numerous companies such as Flying Anvil Theatre, Tennessee Stage Company, Jupiter Entertainment and NolPix Media. She founded the Knoxville Performing Arts Exchange at Modern Studio to provide a stable, affordable venue to local performing arts groups.

Carolyn’s mind is ambidextrous. One minute she’s managing milestones and deadlines. The next she’s concocting a crazy awesome sword fight. She’s bold yet contemplative, empathic yet diplomatic, diligent yet exuberant. She prefers the title of Kitten Herder in Chief. She keeps her eyes on all the moving pieces in the big picture so the counselors and educators can focus on what they do best.
