Individuals with disabilities have historically been underemployed and unrepresented in the workplace. Despite major strides to include this population, youth and adults with disabilities still comprise one of the largest untapped worker pools in America. Social service agencies have traditionally relied on pity or favors to assist these individuals find work, but that’s not enough.

Work Matters was founded in 2016 to change the game. We believe that our clients deserve fulfilling lives, and this starts with meaningful work. Our team believes that every client has the right to make choices about work that are in their best interest, and we partner with our clients to make their dreams a reality.  Our mission is to serve youth and adults with disabilities with dignity and respect, and work hard to advocate for their right to meaningful work.

Work Matters is grant and contract funded through the Tennessee Department of Human Services.
